Gates & Co. Collaboration Color Studies

A series of eight abstract expressionist color studies created in preparation for my collaboration with Erin Gates of Elements of Style. Before a single final design was chosen, I painted these studies by hand—each one an exploration of the color palette, rhythm, and mood that would ultimately define the collection.

These pieces aren’t just inspiration—they were the actual works I brought into our in-person meetings with Erin and her team. Each brushstroke helped spark conversation, direct feedback, and shape the visual direction of our collaboration.
